Faculty of International Economics

Mission

Faculty of International Economics is dedicated to the development of every student. Individual and group work, interactive classes, and teaching staff dedicated to students all contribute to creating highly competent professionals, qualified for the challenges of the modern society. Our mission is to educate students who will realize their life goals in the best possible way and who will contribute to the development of our society.

There are three levels of studies at the Faculty of International Economics:
1. Undergraduate academic studies, four years
2. Master studies, one year
3. PhD studies, three years
Undergraduate academic studies provide theoretical and practical knowledge on the chosen regions and on international economics and finance. Faculty of International Economics enrolls students at two four-year undergraduate academic programmes:
-Geoeconomics and regional studies and
-International economics and finance.

After first two years at Geoeconomics and regional studies, students opt for one of the three modules at the third year: European Union Studies, North and Latin American Studies, and Russian and Asian Studies.

It is macroeconomic and multidisciplinary approach to studies of a region that makes the programme of Geoeconomics and regional studies specific. Apart from studying economic science, this approach involves studying geographical characteristics, history, culture and languages of the chosen regions. Besides English, which is mandatory at all four years of studies, the following languages are studied: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Japanese.

The International economics and finance programme provides the overall analytical knowledge on the theory and practice of the contemporary international economics. The aim of the programme is to create different competencies of students through offering theoretical, expert and practical knowledge in the field of international trade, international finance, banking, financial management, econometrics, business finance, goods and financial markets, with the aim of clear understanding of global trends and factors of production.

The knowledge acquired at Faculty of International economics enables students to engage in different professions in the fields of international economic relations and international trade, ranging from positions in companies, state institutions, diplomatic missions, to the institutions of international cultural cooperation and communication.

The programmes of Faculty of International Economics are fully compatible with the Law on Higher Education of Republic of Serbia.
After completing undergraduate academic studies students receive the title of Bachelor in economics, on completing postgraduate academic studies they are awarded the title of Master in economics, whereas on completing doctorate studies, they are awarded the title of PhD in economics.
Diplomas of Faculty of International Economics are recognized in Serbia and abroad.
